Oral History of a Bi-National Community: Challenging Factors and Unique Outcomes with Amia Lieblich

After a brief introduction to the field of oral聽history, Amia Lieblich (Professor of Psychology, Hebrew聽University of Jerusalem) will describe the Jewish-Palestinian聽village Wahat al-Salam - Neve Shalom that was the subject of her聽study in 2010 and its development since its foundation in 1977.聽She will elaborate on the complicating factors in conducting the聽study, provide its main results and discuss the contribution of聽oral history research for conflict management and alleviation.聽The talk will be accompanied by photographs of the location and聽exemplary personal narratives of the participants of the study.
